Player Evaluations are conducted each year by an impartial Evaluation Team selected by the Director of Player Development and retained by the Board.
Evaluations are mandatory. Unevaluated players will be placed at the bottom of the Evaluation Scale regardless of past participation and/or known abilities. No unevaluated player will be placed on a team unless his/her absence is excused. The board, or board designee, will determine if the absence is legitimate and excused.
RRSO may elect to return the registration of those that decide to avoid or intentionally decide not to evaluate.
Results of the player evaluations are to be seen only by the President of the RRSO and the evaluators.
Evaluations shall be conducted whenever:
- The number of players who register for RRSO in the spring of any given year exceeds the number of roster spots available for the designated age/gender group. Example: (20) U13 Boys register and 18 roster spots exist.
- A sufficient number of players register in the spring of any given year to create a multiple teams for the designated age/gender group.
- When otherwise deemed necessary or advisable by the Board.
