Welcome!

Rocky River Soccer Organization (RRSO) offers travel soccer to Rocky River residents ages 7 - 14. Our sole purpose is to provide our players with an opportunity to play soccer at competitive levels against teams from other area communities.

We participate in the Ohio Travel Soccer League along with about 25 other communities subject to League established rules and procedures.

Our community based organization is guided by our board of directors, which is made up of parents and community leaders interested in promoting the game of soccer in Rocky River.

River Run for a Cause:

Rocky River High School  Girls Soccer team member Elizabeth Demers has solely organized a 5k race titled "River Run for a Cause".  The race will occur on June 12th, 2016 at 9:00 am.  Her mission is to promote a race with a different "cause" for each year.  The 2016 River Run for a Cause race will be dedicated to the memory of RRSO player Kate Carney.  Funds from the race will be used to form a scholarship in Kate's memory, as well as a donation to Cerebrovascular research.

Registration for the 2016-2017 travel season is open (see above)

New players should check out our FAQs.

U8 Academy Registration is open.

Who can participate?

Boys and girls who will turn seven (7) or eight (8) years of age during the current calendar year (Jan.-Dec.) are eligible to participate.

When is the Academy season?

Each Spring (April-May) and Fall (August-September).  The 2016 Spring season will run from about April 8 through May 22.  Participants must register for each season for which they wish to participate.

Where/When are practices/games?

Practices are Fridays from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at Morley Park in Rocky River.  Game days are Sundays at either Morley or Linden Park in Rocky River.

What is the Academy Program?

The Academy is a young player's introduction to soccer.  Players learn the basic skills of the game through fun yet challenging activities under the guidance of professional coaches.

What is the different between Academy and other programs?

Academy is player-centered.  The "game" is the main teacher, not coaches.  The aim is to develop self-motivated players who can solve "soccer problems" on their own.

Is the U8 Academy the right choice?

The U8 Academy is for boys and girls who intend to play competitive soccer.  Players must be able to follow instructions, and stay engaged in activities.  Players who are "not ready" will receive a refund, and will be invited to try again the next season.
